    The Shelby Township Parks, Recreation and Maintenance Department staff provides progressive leisure, organized sports, and cultural and educational programs to the township. It protects our natural resources and offers outdoor recreational opportunities to members of the community in a safe, healthy and enjoyable environment. The staff provides innovative and quality services to residents, businesses and service organizations in Shelby Township.

    Because they are so popular, some of the recreation offerings at the Shelby Township Activities Center have capacity limits.     Do you have concerns about falling? Many older adults experience concerns about falling and restrict their activities. This award-winning program is designed to manage falls and increase activity levels. You will learn to: view falls as controllable, set goals for increasing activity, make changes to reduce fall risks at home, and exercise to increase strength and balance. Who should attend? Anyone who: is concerned about falls, has fallen in the past, is interested in improving balance, flexibility and strength, and has restricted activities because of falling concerns. Registration for this class is required.
