The Shelby Township Senior Center has a wide variety of activities for adults age 50 and older in order to help keep our residents mentally, physically and socially healthy.

You must register as a member of the Shelby Township Senior Center every year to participate in our events and activities. The cost is $5 for residents of Shelby Township and Utica or $10 for non-residents. Membership is required for all programs.

Our services include transportation, a free community loan closet for medical equipment, mental stimulation with puzzles and brain teasers, physical activity and organizations to promote socialization. All of these serve to benefit the lives of our residents.

Do you have concerns about falling? Many older adults experience concerns about falling and restrict their activities. This award-winning program is designed to manage falls and increase activity levels. You will learn to: view falls as controllable, set goals for increasing activity, make changes to reduce fall risks at home, and exercise to increase strength and balance. Who should attend? Anyone who: is concerned about falls, has fallen in the past, is interested in improving balance, flexibility and strength, and has restricted activities because of falling concerns. Registration for this class is required.
