The Shelby Township Parks, Recreation and Maintenance Department staff provides progressive leisure, organized sports, and cultural and educational programs to the township. It protects our natural resources and offers outdoor recreational opportunities to members of the community in a safe, healthy and enjoyable environment. The staff provides innovative and quality services to residents, businesses and service organizations in Shelby Township.

Because they are so popular, some of the recreation offerings at the Shelby Township Activities Center have capacity limits. To ensure access to the activities and programs you want, we ask you to book your time via the link(s) below. Our September Lunch Bunch will travel to the birthplace of the motor city and the Ford Model T, the Ford Piquette Avenue Plant in Detroit. At the conclusion of the tour, we will move to Hamtramck and dine at Polonia. We'll enjoy sausage, pierogi, stuffed cabbage, kraut and potatoes. After, we'll head over to New Palace Bakery for dessert. The cost includes the docent lead tour, lunch and bus transportation. The bakery is on your own.
